Elegant Southern Wedding at Circle M Farm | Erica and Landon | North Carolina Wedding Planner

Erica and Landon are the most precious college sweethearts. They married on May 16th at Circle M Farm. Their wedding was the epitome of southern elegance!

From the moment I met them, it was obvious that Erica and Landon are truly best friends. The way they looked at each other was so precious! They decided to do a first touch and prayer together before the ceremony. I had talked to each of them individually while they were getting ready and they each mentioned that they just really missed the other and couldn’t wait to see them. Erica had the wedding jitters but as soon as she got to hold on to Landon she said “every anxiety I had melted away”. Talk about true love!

Erica and Landon added in a few personal touches to their wedding day. The ring bearer’s pillow was made out of Erica’s grandfather's old shirt and she had a charm on her bouquet with a picture of her grandfather on it. He had passed away recently so these touches were very special for the family to have him part of the day in some way. They also decided to do a foot washing ceremony during the wedding. It was a really beautiful moment to witness!

A few things on Erica’s wedding wish list were to have chandeliers, draping from ceiling rafters, and vintage furniture. Circle M Farm had all of these things included with the venue rental! They wanted to have a good southern meal for their guests to enjoy and Roots Catering knocked it out of the park.

The couple got to sneak away during the reception to get some sunset photos. Kathy Beaver was the photographer and she did a stunning job capturing their wedding day and their love for one another.

I can’t summarize their wedding day without mentioning the mother of the bride, Julie. I got to work closely with Julie throughout the wedding planning process because Erica and Landon had their hands full with college graduation. Erica appointed her mom as the “wedding spokesperson” and she was amazing! Julie prioritized Erica and Landon’s wishes and she did everything in her power to make sure their wedding day was just as they hoped it would be. I SO enjoyed working with her to help make the wedding day a success. I think every bride needs a mom like Julie ;) Her and Erica even shared a mother daughter dance together at the wedding and it brought tears to my eyes!

Eco-Friendly Wedding Decisions

Florals: All of the florals were either given to family/vendors or taken to a nursing home. They will decompose on their own, but we were able to make sure they could be enjoyed beyond the wedding day!

Rentals: All of the dishware, tables, linens, decor etc. were rentals. None of the items were single use, which means many other couples can use them in the future.

All of the vendors are local! Supporting small, local businesses is always a more sustainable option as it helps the local economy.

My husband and I also met in college and got married just after we graduated, so I have a special place in my heart for college sweethearts.

Erica and Landon, I wish you a lifetime of growing in your love and friendship with one another!

Joelle
