Trendy and Vibrant Wedding at The White Crow | Kim + Kendale | North Carolina Wedding Planner
Kim and Kendale married at The White Crow in mid-May. Their wedding was colorful with modern vibes. Kim designed her own wedding and added many personal touches. The details from start to finish were such a beautiful picture of who this couple is!
There was almost a 100% chance of rain expected for their ceremony. All day we were watching the radar and watching the sky. About an hour before the ceremony the sky was filled with dark clouds and you could hear thunder in the background. Right before the ceremony, the clouds literally parted and a huge rainbow appeared in the sky. It was a really beautiful moment to witness!
As guests arrived, they were greeted by the couple’s dog, Sunny, who was taken care of by Jess at Sugar Pups. He was the best wedding greeter!
Kim’s cousin is a pastor and she presided over their ceremony. After they had been pronounced husband and wife, Kim and Kendale walked down the aisle under rose petals being tossed by all of their guests. This is one of my current favorite wedding traditions!
The tablescapes for the reception were absolutely stunning! The bride’s cousin is a florist and she grows her own flowers on her farm in Virginia. She traveled all the way to Banner Elk, NC with these bright, spring florals in tow. The bride hand dyed all of the table runners. They added such a nice texture to the tablescapes. Every guest was blown away by the beautiful design!
Some of the other personal touches included a vintage phone for guests to leave a voicemail as the guestbook, signature cocktails served by Klassy Sips Bartending, and their dog who made an appearance on the cake. Appalachia Cookie Company cookies were served alongside the cake and doubled as guest favors.
The groomsmen made an epic “game day” entrance to the venue. They deserve a special shout out for showing up in style (and on time!).
Loso Sounds kept the dance floor poppin all night long. Bringing out light up accessories to the dancefloor never ceases to bring a fun energy! While guests were dancing, Olson Design Photography brought Kim and Kendale outside for sunset photos. As you can tell, they did not disappoint!
The night ended with a private last dance shared by Kim and Kendale while their guests lined up for a sparkler exit.
K + K, thank you for trusting me and all of these vendors with your wedding day! Here’s to many, many years of love and joy for you both!
